House cards

Print a card or door sticker for each house; its QR opens the house for collectors, and for the family if you allow it.

A house card is a printed card or door sticker with a QR that opens one house. A collector going door to door scans it and the house opens on the dashboard, ready to take a payment. You decide whether a family can scan its own card to see what the house owes and what it has paid.

What you can print

Pocket card
85.6 × 54 mm, the size of an ID card, horizontal or vertical. Any print shop or card printer takes it, as PVC or laminated paper. The back explains how to use the card.
Family card
A6, 105 × 148 mm, portrait or landscape, for the door or the fridge. It can carry the members list.
Door sticker
Square or round 50 mm, wide 75 × 50 mm, or small 54 × 43 mm (half a card). House number and QR only, with no names.

Each piece prints one to a page for a card printer, or many to an A4 sheet with cut lines for an office printer. Print at 100% (actual size). With both sides on a sheet, print on both sides, flipping on the long edge, so each back lands behind its front.

Printing cards

  1. Open a house from Houses and choose Print house card. To print for every house or a whole ward, choose Print cards on the Houses list.
  2. Pick what to print, the orientation or sticker shape, the language and whether the head of the house's name appears. A family card can also carry the members list.
  3. Choose Print. The first print of a house gives it its card code.

Printing again prints the same code, so a second copy works the same as the first. Printing needs a role that can record members.

Scanning a card

Choose Scan house card in the menu, or the scan button beside any member field, and point the phone at the QR. Scanning with the phone's own camera works too.

  • Anyone who can see the register lands on the house, with Collect payment and Scan next house at the top.
  • A cluster leader lands on their round, with the head of the house's Record form open. A card from another ward does not open.
  • In a member field (Add payment, a promise, a certificate), the scan picks the head of the house and lists the rest of the house under the field, one tap each.

What a family sees

Choose this in Settings, under Public page, in House cards:

Committee only
The default. A scan by anyone who is not signed in opens your public page.
House page after a WhatsApp code
The person scanning asks for a code, which goes to the head of the house on the number in your register. With the code, the house page opens on that phone for 30 minutes.
House page straight away
Dues and receipts open with the card alone. Reporting a payment and seeing certificate requests still ask for the code.

The house page shows the same figures as member payment lookup: what each member of the house owes by fund, promises, reported payments and recent receipts, with a Pay button where you have a UPI ID. A committee member who is signed in always lands on the dashboard, whichever choice is set.

Defaults for printing

In the same place, choose whether printed cards carry the head of the house's name (on unless you turn it off) and whether family cards carry the members list (off unless you turn it on). The print panel starts from these, and you can change them for each print. A card with the members list needs printing again when the family changes.
