The same receipt, sent by InflowBooks

This is what a family receives on WhatsApp when the collection is recorded in InflowBooks: numbered by the system, with a QR code anyone can check, your seal and signature, and the entry already in the cash book.

Samples, drawn with your details. They cannot be printed or used as receipts.

Making the books

  1. 1

    Print one sheet first

Check the name and the first number, then print the rest. Turn off “fit to page” so the cut lines land where they should.

  2. 2

    Cut and bind

Cut along the long dashed lines, stack the receipts in number order with the cover on top, and staple along the counterfoil edge.

  3. 3

    Record who has which book

Fill in the cover when you hand a book to a collector, and again when it comes back. Tick each number once it is in the accounts.

Questions

Can a press print carbon or NCR books from this?

Yes. Save the PDF and take it to the press. The numbering is already set, so they print it as it is.

Is our masjid’s information saved anywhere?

No. The books are made in your browser, and your logo never leaves your device. We only count how often books are printed, never what is on them.

How do we continue numbering from last year’s books?

Set the first receipt number to one after the last number you used. Each book carries on from the one before it.

Why is there no zakat option?

In the Shafi‘i school followed across Kerala, zakat is not committee money: the giver hands it to those entitled, and it does not pass through the mahallu’s books.
