Demo Terms

What a demo is

A demo is a separate InflowBooks account set up in your masjid’s name so that your committee can try the Service before deciding to subscribe. It is provided by ZikkLabs, the maker of InflowBooks. It is free of charge, and using it does not commit your masjid to subscribe.

How long it is open

A demo is open for the period we tell you, usually 14 days, and may be extended on request. We may suspend or remove a demo at any time, including when its period ends, when your masjid subscribes, or if the demo is misused.

Your data in the demo

• Everything entered in a demo is permanently deleted when the demo is removed. It is not moved into a paid account, and it cannot be recovered afterwards.
• We recommend using sample details. If you enter details of real people, you confirm that you are allowed to, and you are responsible for those details, including any consent needed to record them. For those details your masjid is the Data Fiduciary and we act as its Data Processor, as described in our Terms of Service.
• Do not enter bank account numbers, Aadhaar numbers, passwords or other sensitive details in a demo.
• Do not rely on a demo to keep your masjid’s records. Keep your own copy of anything you need.

What we can see

To help you set up and to follow up on your trial, we keep a record of how the demo is used: when someone signs in, which sections are opened, and how many entries of each kind are made, for example 12 members and 30 payments. These are counts and times. We do not review the content of your entries, such as names, phone numbers or amounts.

We look at the records in a demo only when you ask us for help, or where it is needed to keep the Service secure or to comply with the law. We use this information only to support you and to improve the Service, and we do not share it with anyone else except as our Privacy Policy describes.

WhatsApp messages from the demo

Messages sent from a demo, such as receipts and payment reminders, go only to the phone number given to us for the demo. Messages to any other number are not sent.

Messages are paid from the demo’s WhatsApp balance, which may include free credit from us. There is no charge to your masjid for messages paid from free credit. When the balance is used up, no more messages are sent from the demo unless you top it up from the WhatsApp page.

Free credit is used first. If some of the money you paid is unused when the demo ends, it is not lost: if your masjid subscribes, it is added to the WhatsApp balance of your new account; if not, it is refunded, rounded to the nearest rupee, if you ask within 6 months of the end date. Free credit is not refunded or moved to another account.

No warranty

A demo is provided “as is”, without any warranty. It may change, be interrupted or stop working at any time. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from the use of a demo, including the loss of anything entered in it.

Use of the demo

The sign-in details for a demo are for your committee only and must not be shared with anyone else. The Acceptable use section of our Terms of Service applies to a demo as it does to a paid account.

Agreeing to these terms

Each person who signs in to a demo is asked to agree to these Demo Terms before using it. We keep a record of each agreement: the name given, the account, the version of these terms, and the time, network address and device it was made from.

These Demo Terms apply together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Where they differ, these Demo Terms apply to the demo. If we change these Demo Terms, you will be asked to agree to the new version before you can continue using the demo.
